GreenCell Technologies is a Canadian company dedicated to designing and bringing to market, technology-based products for the transportation industry. The current product is called the Hydrocell, an on-board on-demand hydrogen generator engineered specifically for the diesel trucking and haulage industries.
GreenCell Technologies are in the final development stages having completed prototype production for the Hydrogen Enrichment System.
This system designed for the long haul trucking and haulage market providing a reduction in emissions and fuel savings of between 10% - 30%.
The HydroCell is an on-board hydrogen and oxygen gas generator for use in a wide range of commercial trucks and heavy equipment.
The device uses electrolysis to produce the gasses and then feeds them into the intake of the diesel engine. The hydrogen and oxygen enrichment of the diesel causes a large increase in the flame speed within the combustion chamber.
This results in an increase in horsepower and consequently a reduction in emissions and a fuel saving of between 10-30%.
The Hydro-Cell is currently in its final testing stage. Prototypes have been built and are currently being tested. Results will be made available to the public in the next few months and we estimate production to begin by mid 2010.
