The HydroCell Enrichment System produces Hydrogen Gas on demand and adds it to the air drawn into a diesel engine. This small quantity of Hydrogen has a dramatic effect on the combustion process. The result is a 10% to 30% fuel saving and up to a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (nitrous oxides, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide).
GreenCell Technologies markets the HydroCell Enrichment System to owner-operators and trucking fleets alike. Sales and national installation is handled through our dealer network or sold direct and installed by the customer’s own mechanics.
The average increase in fuel economy is over 10% and the reduction in emissions is 10% to 50%, depending in the engine age, conditions and driving habits.
Here is a brief explanation of the effects of adding Hydrogen gas to a four cycle engine:
Intake: A small quantity of Hydrogen Gas is added to the air intake and drawn into the cylinder
Compression: The gasses are compressed and diesel fuels is added
Combustion: The addition of Hydrogen gas causes an increase in flame speed in the cylinder. This result is a more complete combustion creating an increase in horsepower.
Exhaust: Less emissions are produced due to the complete combustion.
The use of HydroCell enrichment system results in more power being produced in each combustion cycle without additional fuel being added. This results in a fuel savings and a large reduction in emissions in the exhaust.
The HydroCell acts like a super-charger. It draws power from the engine to perform a function. The result of that functions is an increase in power produced by the engine. This increase exceeds the power used to perform that function which results in a net increase of 10%-30% fuel savings.
GreenCell Technologies is currently in the process of obtaining an open market listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The shares are expected to be publicly traded in the first quarter of 2010.
